About Hanley Controls
Hanley Controls (Clonmel) Ltd is a sales and distribution company with an integrated assembly and manufacturing facility, based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The company currently employs 70 people, including five apprentices undertaking Instrumentation and Mechanical Fitter apprenticeships with SOLAS. Hanley Controls is now inviting applications for a Logistics Apprentice under the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship (LAA) programme.
Our Operations
Hanley Controls operates two warehouse locations — one at the main facility and a second approximately 100 metres away — and processes an average of 250 picklists and delivery notes each week. Deliveries are carried out through a combination of courier partners (DPD and TNT) and the company’s own transport fleet, which includes two 18-tonne trucks and two delivery vans.
What You’ll Learn
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience and structured training across a broad range of logistics functions, including:
- Training on our ERP system, GenetiQ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Stores and stock control
- Delivery scheduling
- Warehouse management
- Forklift driving
Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria:
- A minimum of H7/O6 (or equivalent) in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including a minimum of O6 in English and a minimum of O6 (or B2 or above at Foundation level) in Mathematics
- A QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant area, such as business, logistics and distribution, or supply chain management
- Eligibility may also be established through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
