Position: Transport Planner Apprentice (Logistics Associate Apprenticeship)

Established in early May 2017, we are rapidly expanding our fleet. Quality, high standards, and a customer-focused approach have quickly made us one of Ireland’s leading transport companies. In addition to our refrigerated and low loader divisions, we offer both fresh and dry cargo transportation/movement for our customers. As a small team, we operate 30 dual temperature fridges and a euro liner. We transport a wide variety of goods to all EU countries on a weekly basis. Whether it is low-value FMCG or high-value ADR goods, we move them all.
Apprentice duties and training areas will include:

- Transport Management System – Updating database continuously to keep a live picture of what’s happening.
- Shipping – Booking and updating the company’s ferry bookings for ADR shipments.
- Drivers – Liaising with drivers and learning how to deal with different personas.
- Transport Compliance – Learning all about driver’s hours, different laws in all EU countries re driving bans and restrictions HGVs face to remain compliant while on the road.
- Customers – Liaising with customers, updating them on how their shipments are progressing.
Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics.
- Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc.
- Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
