
Maurice Ward & Co Ltd, a leading Art Handling and Transport organization seeks to recruit a Fine Art Shipping Apprentice/ Coordinator under the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship programme. The position is a full time, comprising of 1-day release to TU Dublin City Campus during the college academic year (Mid September -May).
Location: Swords, Co. Dublin Reporting to: Operations Manager
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing estimates
- Project management of jobs
- Liaise with clients (private, galleries and museums etc) daily
- Organise national and international transport by air and road including the preparation of import and export customs clearance, transit documents, temporary imports and exports
- Invoicing, filing and backup assistance for the Art department
- Organising suppliers, technicians, drivers,
- Closely working with import and export team
- Assistance in an art store and packing areas and installation sites

- On the ad-hoc duties as required
- Excellent communication is a must
- Must be client-focused
Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
- Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics, and distribution, supply chain management, etc)
- Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). for a permanent position with the company.
