Objectives of the role:
- Handling day to day freight enquiries and operations
- Ensuring high standards of service meet customer requirements
- Growing and developing within the company environment
Key Tasks:
- Process jobs in accordance with deadlines
- Monitor all jobs to ensure adherence to planned progress by maintaining proactive communications with all supply chain partners
- Communicate regularly with clients to ensure that they are aware of shipment statuses at all times
- Timely preparation and transmission of customer reports
- Ensuring a high standard of data entry in terms of both accuracy and completeness
- Support the company in obtaining and developing new business
- Contribution to profits through obtaining best value prices with suppliers; ensuring freight transactions are processed within budget
- Know, understand and comply with all internal policies and procedures such as SOPs , WIs, Company Handbook
- Ensure continued compliance with all regulatory requirements such as AEO, Customs etc.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and good housekeeping
- Participate in all training activities relevant to the role
- Proactively participate in the staff appraisal process
- Participate in team meetings with a view to continual improvement
- Working with other departments to meet customers’ needs
- Maintaining standards of customer service

Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria:
- H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
- Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc
- Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
