Position: Logistics Apprentice
Applications are now being accepted for the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship (LAA) at Irish Air Freight Logistics LTD’s Dublin 17 offices. The LAA programme at the company combines work-based learning with academic coursework at TU Dublin City Campus one day a week. Upon successful completion of the program within two years, candidates will receive a Level 6 Higher Certificate in Logistics.
About us:
Airfreight is the main area of expertise of IAF, but the company also provides logistics services for ocean and road freight. We handle all types of cargo, including pharmaceuticals and dangerous goods. Our company is relatively new, but it has grown by 65% per year since its establishment, and we are now seeking an energetic individual to join our growing team.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of import/export procedures would be beneficial but not essential
• Able to work and meet deadlines and under pressure
• Able to implement and manage systems that further enhance the company profile
• Able to plan ahead
• A pro-active attitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to promote the corporate culture
• Willing to learn
• Warehouse training also
• The ability to complete college work in a timely manner
Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria:
• H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
• Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc
• Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
