Position: Transport Planner Apprentice (Logistics Associate Apprenticeship)
Working Hours: 40 per week with day release to TU Dublin City Campus

Job Specification:
At the company, apprentices will receive training in the following areas:
• Learning customer service/day to day admin duties
• Working closely with the team of transport planners and liaising with customers
• Uploading jobs to the company’s internal transport system
• Dispatching and monitoring customer orders
• Route planning
• Monitoring driver progress via tracking system as well as reporting to transport planners’ team
• Learning about the legal aspects of transport operations compliance, including vehicle maintenance, driver’s hours, tachographs, etc.
Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria:
• H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics
• Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management)
• Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
