Ocean & General Maritime Agencies Ltd. is seeking a motivated Business Development Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to develop valuable commercial, sales, and business development skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Business Development Apprentice, you will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the business, gaining practical experience while contributing to the company’s continued growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with lead generation and identifying new business opportunities.
• Supporting market research and analysing industry trends.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Providing excellent customer service and support.
• Assisting with sales and business development activities.
• Participating in client meetings and business discussions.
• Working closely with management on a range of strategic projects.
• Learning all aspects of the business through a hands-on approach.
• Supporting the team with administrative and operational tasks when required.

Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria:
• H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics.
• Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc
• Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
