Pay: €27,500-30,000 (prorated to hours worked) paid monthly.
Job Title: Transport Desk and Compliance Apprentice
Schedule: 9am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5:00pm Friday.
Contract: fixed term for duration of apprenticeship (there will be consideration for permanency after this, but the apprentice will be kept informed)

Key Responsibilities:
- Administration for Transport and Logistics
- Preparation and storage of paperwork to the highest standard.
- Timely record keeping using TMS (Fleet-manager and Move It).
- Other administrative duties as required.
Managing Customer Relationships:
- Engage with customers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner to deliver exceptional experiences and nurture lasting relationships.
- Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails and chats with knowledge and efficiency.
- Assist with the identification of the cause of a customer complaint and remedying the underlying issue of the complaint in conjunction with other departments, balancing the needs of the customer, and the company.
- Escalate inquiries/complaints to the appropriate manager and/or department when necessary.
- Keeping records of customer interactions, comments, and complaints.
- Non-conformance reporting in accordance with the KPI’s.
- Report customer feedback to management, including signs of customer dissatisfaction.
- Coordinate special and last-minute customer requests, and expediting orders where necessary.
Transport Planning and Administration:
- Analysis of transportation data using TMS and other tools.
- Monitoring driver availability to ensure full utilisation of the fleet.
- Assigning loads to vehicles based on capacity.
- Resolving collection and delivery issues efficiently.
Knowledge and other job requirements:
- Self-motivated.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role.
- IT Proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office, especially excel.

Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria:
• H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics.
• Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management)
• Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
