Noone Transport & Logistics is a family-run business established in 1986, specialising in both national and international transport services. From our headquarters in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, we cater to clients across Ireland and Europe, offering reliable and effective solutions for full or part loads, including temperature-controlled and ambient cargo. Our services encompass road freight, warehousing, and logistics.
We are now seeking to recruit a Logistics Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain comprehensive industry experience through on-the-job training in a dynamic working environment four days a week, while attending TU Dublin one day a week for classroom instruction. Our aim is to develop multi-talented staff who are proficient in all types of shipments, including customs clearance procedures, by the completion of the apprenticeship.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting the planning of daily transport operations across Ireland and Europe
• Communicating with customers, drivers, and transport providers
• Booking collections and deliveries and updating our Transport Management System
• Creating shipment records, including preparing customs documentation
• Helping to ensure all transport is fully compliant with GDP, TAPA, and customer requirements
• Recording proof of delivery (PODs) and assisting with general administration

• A natural problem-solver with a strong customer service mindset
• A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Comfortable using MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Interest in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-day release to TU Dublin City Campus.
Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria:
• H7/O6 or above in five Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in Mathematics.
• Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in related areas (e.g., business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management).
• Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
