I was already working in the sector when I got involved in the LAA. Having no qualifications, I decided that the programme would be the best way for me to improve my knowledge, skills and gain internationally recognised qualification in logistics.
This will benefit both my career and the company I work for.
The LAA programme provides a good work/life balance. The content in the class, mixed with assignments and continuous assessments doesn’t affect my work or personal life.
Support received from both lecturers and work-based mentors have been essential to helping me meet project deadlines.
From the very beginning, my employer has been very supportive and encouraging throughout my apprenticeship journey. Allowing me to attend college 1 day a week during the working hours and covering the college annual registration fee has given me a great sense of value as an employee.
I would highly recommend the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship programme to both candidates and to logistics companies.
It is a great way for employing organizations to show appreciation to their employees by creating further opportunities to learn and develop skills.
For apprentices, the programme creates an opportunity for personal development, to broaden the knowledge of the industry, whilst giving you the perfect opportunity to implement, what you have learned in college, into your workplace.
